STUDIO11 -THE RUSHES [13-18s]. Thursdays 4:30-6:30pm
Acting is a CRAFT. Like painters, carpenters, musicians... actors must master their craft by learning specialised techniques. Acting for the screen demands different techniques than acting for the stage. We will learn the language of screen actors by exploring and shooting classic and contemporary scenes from screenplays such as The Goonies, Whistle Down The Wind, Stand By Me and My Place.

About Shopfront Workshops:
Classses are as much about developing team and group skills as they are about bringing out the best performance in each participant. All classes are taught by industry professionals. All workshops feature a performance/short film screening at the end of the 8 week term, on stage, under lights, to which family & friends are invited
Workshops in this program are run subject to the level of enrolments in each class.
A minimum number of participants required is 8
All Classes are held at Shopfront
Participants are eligible to join the workshop if they are turning the minimum age required within the Term timeframe. Each workshop includes a specified age category
A 2011 membership fee of $25 is compulsory
This includes membership of the Shopfront Co-op, discounts to all shows & events, audition notices, e-newsletters, voting rights at the Annual General Meeting, discounted venue hire rates + more during the calendar year
